香港昨驚傳有一名台灣女子由南韓抵港後，隨即遭送往醫院隔離，衛福部疾管署副署長周志浩今（11）天下午表示，已接獲香港衛生單位通知，指這名曾到訪韓國的台籍女性機組人員MERS檢驗為陰性，排除感染。
香港媒體是在昨天報導，指有台灣一間航空公司機組人員的女子，由救護車送入傳染病中心檢查，消息一出，引發國內關注，疾管署昨晚立即急電港方進行了解。
港方昨晚第一時間回覆疾管署時，態度保守，只揭露是接獲一間位於機場的私人診所呈報一宗中東呼吸綜合症懷疑個案，涉及一名曾到訪韓國的機組人員，安排入住瑪嘉烈醫院接受隔離治療，採集樣本進行初步化驗。
周志浩說，香港衛生單位回覆指，在昨天香港的中東呼吸綜合症懷疑個案呈報中，一名曾到訪韓國的台籍女性機組人員經初步化驗後，已證實對中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒呈陰性反應。
